When we truly grasp God’s unconditional love, it changes how we face life. But what does that look like in a world full of trouble?
Examples of Those Who Trusted God
Throughout history, men and women faced immense trials—yet they could not be swayed from what God asked them to do:
Paul was singing while chained in a prison cell.
Peter was sleeping soundly the night before his scheduled execution.
Abraham left the security of his home village at age 75 to follow God into the unknown.
Jeremiah, Moses, and countless others endured persecution, isolation, and hardship.
What drew them to make such sacrifices? The power of the Gospel. They experienced God’s character and plan and chose to trust His plan over their own.
Overcoming the Anxieties of This World
It is easy to get caught up in the troubles of this life. We forget that this time is just a blink in our eternal journey with a specific purpose. It is showing us that our ways lead to strife and that our loving and wise Heavenly Father redeems us through Jesus in the midst of our mess.
The Eternal Promise: Those who learn to trust God’s ways will be ready for an eternity of wholesome relationships in a place far more beautiful than here.

The Bible reminds us that salvation includes a “guaranteed seal by the Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 1:13-14), and “He who began a good work in you will complete it” (Philippians 1:6).
God is our loving and wise parent. A truly good parent loves their child no matter what, establishing boundaries out of love, but never revoking their place in the family because of stumbles.
Overcoming Fear Like a Child
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” — Hebrews 11:1
Think of a small child standing at the edge of a pool, afraid to jump. If their loving, wise parent is standing in the water with open arms, calling them to jump, the child can overcome their fear.
God is far more loving and wise than we can possibly understand. He gives us all the information and grace we need to fully trust Him.
Perfect love casts out fear!
