Summary:
Actually, science and the Bible have tremendous harmony.  There are very specific examples grouped into 3 groups on the “More details” page.

A preface to what you will find on our “More details” page:

• Zero percent of the Bible is intended to be science textbook type material.  The Bible is intended to be the story of what God is doing in this world, how it fits into eternity past, the time of this world, and eternity future.  It is a story about relationships between God, us, and each other.  Of the approximately 1,200 pages of an average sized Bible, if you gathered all the references to science type information it would probably only fill 2-3 pages.
• Most of the science type information was recorded hundreds or even thousands of years before scientists found them.  So, the Bible got science right often before scientists even had the tools to see the evidence.  Note that the 6 day of Creation is addressed in a way you have not seen before combining scripture and Einstein’s Theory of Relativity and there is a challenge there for Christians to be as open to new understanding of their data as they want scientists to be open to understanding their data.
• The science community is not consistent on what they demand and what they accept for evidence.  That creates problems and reduces credibility of science in the eyes of skeptics.  There are several very key areas where we don’t have evidence that meets the Scientific Method that the science community is claiming proven science.
• It is true that science could have progressed faster if founding fathers such a Newton had pushed a little deeper rather than just attributing some things to unknowable things of God.  But, on the other hand, by ruling out God, science is now accepting things that are not supported by the evidence because the evidence does point to a designer.  That is also slowing the progress of science.

Bible references:

• The Bible says in Isaiah 40:22 that the earth is round.  (That was written hundreds of years before modern science figured that out.  At the time, people thought the earth was flat.)
• The Bible says in Job 26:7 that the earth hangs in space over nothing.  (That was written thousands of years before modern science figured it out and some said it is supported by Atlas or by elephants or something like that.)
• The Bible describes in Ecclesiastes 1:6-7 that the water cycle includes clouds, rain, rivers, evaporation, repeat.  (The Bible described this hundreds of years before modern science figured it out.)
• The Bible says in Isaiah 45:12 that God stretched out the Universe.  (That was thousands of years before modern science discovered the expanding Universe.)
• The Bible indicates in Genesis 22:17 that the stars in the Heavens are countless by comparing them to the sands on the seashore.  (This was also thousands of years before science figure that out.)
• The Bible indicates an ordering of Creation similar to the fossil record:  Vegetation, fish, birds, land animals, mankind.  (This was thousands of years before Darwin and there was no naturalistic reason at that time for them to think other than things had just always been.)
• The Bible says in Genesis 1 that “In the beginning”, “God created…”  (That was thousands of years before science even questioned if time and/or space may have a beginning.)
